Canada, a Highly Preferred Choice of International Students

Canada is one of the highest preferred choices for study programs of students from all over the world. Over the last couple of years, more than 3, 50,000 international students have enrolled in the study programs in Canada.

The Colleges and Universities in Canada provide quality education and a brighter future, therefore students choose Canada for their post-secondary education. Canadian schools are already among the top-ranked schools in the world. Now universities are also trying to improve the overall experience of international students.

According to the Canadian Bureau of International Education, international students have three main reasons for choosing Canada:

  1. The high quality of education available
  2. Good social life without discrimination, intolerance and a lot of diversity
  3. Canada’s reputation as a safe place

While the changing political conditions in the United States and the UK have made the immigrant policies a lot stricter, Canada still welcomes immigrants from across the globe for both education and employment purpose. The strict immigrant policies of other countries have also the reason of increased the international student applications in Canada.

It is stated by the Canadian Bureau of International Education that about 51% of the international students look forward to permanent residence in Canada after completion of their course. International students are also eligible to apply through Provincial Nominee Program.

International students can also apply for post-graduation work permits, allowing them to work in Canada after completing their studies. The more a person gains work experience in Canada, the more his chances of permanent residence in Canada increase through the Canadian Experience Class program.
