Brian Pearson Memorial scholarship is a phenomenal opportunity for students who are high school juniors or seniors for the 2019-2020 school year. This fantastic chance to win the amazing cash prize is conducted by the Iowa Games.
The award will be covering the expenses that need to pursue a post-high education. The one female and one male recipient will be able to complete their quality studies with some fewer burdens of financial aids coming across.
The Iowa Games was established in 1987 as a weekend event. It was mainly featuring 16 sports and 7,104 participants. The mission is to provide sports and recreation opportunities for all Iowans through Olympic-style festivals, events and programs.

Who May Eligible?
- Students should fulfil the below requirements to enter the program:
- Must be a high school junior or senior for the 2019‐2020 school year
- Students who have previously participated in any Iowa Games events (Summer Iowa Games, Winter Iowa Games, Iowa Games Net Fest, Iowa Games NASP, etc.) are eligible for this scholarship.

Supporting Documents
- Must submit some necessary information such as name, gender, street address, city, state, zip code, cell phone, evening phone, email, high school, current GPA, expected high school graduation year
- Must list and describe any service to the school, church, clubs, community and years involved
- Must list years that you were involved with an Iowa Games sponsored events such as the Summer Iowa Games, Winter Iowa Games, or Iowa Games Net Fest. Also, include any awards you received from an Iowa Games event
- Must list and describe any athletic honours and awards, and years involved
- Must list and describe academic honors and awards
- Must write a typed essay of two pages describing educational goals, community involvement, volunteer work, citizenship, role modeling, and career aspirations.
- Two letters of recommendation one from a teacher or coach, the other from a community member
Benefits
The Brian Pearson Memorial Scholarship includes a $1,000 scholarship annually. It will be awarded to one male and one female Iowan.
