County Of Los Angeles is pleased to announce that they are launching their 42nd annual Bookmark contest for library lovers. Children from Kindergarten through the 12th Grade are encouraged to participate in the following contest and design the best ever bookmark and celebrate their evergreen love for books and reading. Participants will compete with their creative and original artworks to win a chance to see their printed bookmark designs featured at their local library and across LA County.
The purpose of the following contest is to invite students up to grade 12 to come forward and showcase their talent in art and their love for books and reading in the form of an amazing bookmark. The candidate with the best bookmark will get to feature his/her design and get a chance to receive some amazing awards. This is a great opportunity for you to be all creative and fun and make something unique and thoughtful with your skills. The deadline for submissions is October 30, 2021. One entry per person. Artists must reside in Los Angeles County to compete.
LA County Library was established in 1912 under the authority of the County Free Library Act. The Library is a special fund department operating under the authority of the County Board of Supervisors. Today it is one of the major libraries of our nation and provides library service to over 3.4 million residents living in unincorporated areas and to residents of 49 of the 88 incorporated cities of Los Angeles County.
