Recognizing that an added barrier of a marginalized identity such as an LGBTQ+ member makes it more challenging for students to access higher education, Bold Organisation has introduced its Greg Lockwood Scholarship for the academic year 2022-2023.
Any high school or undergraduate student who identifies as LGBTQ+ and/or is pursuing a social work degree is eligible to apply for this scholarship. Students who are currently high-school students or undergraduates or are in the process of completing their undergraduate degree or have already completed their undergraduate degree will be considered. The award is valued at a whopping $1,300.

Who is Eligible?
- The applicants must be high school or undergraduate students.

- The applicants must be pursuing a social work degree.
How to Apply?
- The applicants are first required to apply for admission to any accredited American university or college of choice for an undergraduate or high-school degree in a field of study about social work.
- Then, to apply for the scholarship, students must create their profile on the Bold Organisations’ official portal.
- The students must prepare an essay on the topic ‘What change do you wish to see in the world and why?’.
Benefits
Bold Organisation will select candidates based on their scholarship application, i.e. the assigned essay, and will provide them with an award amount worth $1,300 towards the expenses that occur while they pursue their higher education in an accredited American university or college.
