Boca Beacon Woman’s Club Scholarship

The Scholarship Committee of the Boca Grande Woman’s Club is now accepting applications for their Woman’s Club Scholarship program. Fellows should be applying for admission to a school of higher education (including some technical programs). Candidates should demonstrate a B or better high school grade point average to be eligible.

The program has been designed to make education accessible to everyone. The rising costs of higher education are making it difficult for students to achieve their academic dreams and support the students in the same this grant has been initiated. Boca Beacon, located in Florida, is one of the leading sources of information. Founded in 1948, the Boca Grande Woman’s Club began sponsoring scholarships in the early 1970s. Since that time, over 200 students have participated in the program, many of them the first in their families to attend college. The program has grown dramatically in recent years. Who May Be Eligible?

If you are interested in the scholarship. Check the eligibility requirements mentioned below:

  • Candidates should be applying for admission to a school of higher education (including some technical programs).
  • Fellows should demonstrate a B or better high school grade point average.
  • Applicants should be a resident of Boca Grande, the child of a resident of Boca Grande, or the child of a parent who is currently employed and has been employed a minimum of two years in Boca Grande. The primary source of income (at least over 50 percent) must come from work in Boca Grande.

How to Apply

Fellows will need to submit the FAFSA. BGWC Scholarship applications may be obtained by emailing BGWC33921@gmail.com or by contacting the Boca Grande Woman’s Club Scholarship Committee at P.O. Box 1164, Boca Grande, Florida 33921. Applications should be adequately completed and submitted before the deadline. No late or incomplete applications will be entertained for the awards. Fellows should begin the process a few days before the deadline.

Supporting Documents

  • FAFSA should be submitted.
  • Candidates should attach the SAR-Student Aid Report and Estimated Family Contribution form to the BGWC scholarship application.
