Wrestling began at the University of Minnesota in 1910. The Minnesota Golden Gophers are a Division I college wrestling team based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Penn State University
The Penn State Nittany Lions wrestling team is an NCAA Division I Wrestling team competing as members of the Big Ten Conference. Penn State wrestling program was established in 1909 and was declared a national dual meet champion in 1921.
