Chapel Hill Carrboro City Schools

One of two public school districts in Orange County, NC, is Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools (CHCCS). CHCCS is located near the University of North Carolina (UNC) flagship campus and the internationally famous Research Triangle Park (RTP). The district runs three high schools, four middle schools, eleven primary schools, a UNC Hospital school for young people, and an alternative high school. About 12,000 students are served by these institutions. In several academic measures, including test output, graduation rates, and SAT/ACT ratings, CHCCS is consistently ranked at or near the top of school districts in North Carolina. Polk County Schools

Polk County Schools is a public education district serving about 2,300 students in Western North Carolina. State and national associations have praised all Polk County schools for their student-centred emphasis and academic excellence. Polk County Schools are fortunate to retain for their youngest students local, community-centred elementary schools and preschools. Union County Public Schools

North Carolina’s sixth-largest public education district is Union County Public Schools (UCPS). It serves about 41,500 students and has over 5,000 staff members at 53 campuses. Morganfield, Sturgis, Sullivan, Uniontown, Waverly, and nearby areas are neighbourhoods covered by the school district. Watauga County Schools District

A total of 4,400 students in eight K-8 schools and one integrated high school are served by the Watauga County Schools system. There is a long-standing reputation for excellence in the district. The K-8 schools work under a model of “school within a school” in which students from middle school and younger students use different sections of each building for their classes. For students in kindergarten through fifth grade, each K-8 school has an Extended Learning Center (afterschool program). Pre-kindergarten programs are now provided by five schools. In pre-k classes, the state currently limits admission to students meeting unique “at-risk” requirements.
