1. Wayne V. Black Memorial Scholarship

The Energy Telecommunications and Electrical Association (Entelec) sponsors the Wayne V. Black Memorial Scholarship every year to the students who full-time undergraduates are earning bachelor’s degrees in engineering, computer science, programming, information technology, or related majors in North America. This scholarship is to honor the Federal Communications Commission licensing specialist who had serviced for 43 years in their career. The Board of Directors of the Energy Telecommunications & Electrical Association (ENTELEC; www.entelec.org) established the award in 2006. After ENTELEC grieved the loss of Mr. Black, the scholarship was renamed as “Wayne V. Black Memorial Scholarship Award.”

2. Richard E. Merwin Student Scholarship

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Computer Society grants the Richard E. Merwin Student Scholarship every two times a year. 6. The Joseph James Morelli Scholarship

 The Joseph James Morelli Legacy Foundation provides scholarships to support the graduating high school seniors with accepted learning disabilities and is entering two- or four-year colleges full-time for STEM majors, including computer programming. 8. IBM Linda Sanford Women’s Technical Advancement Scholarship

9. DSF Geri Wolff Scholarship

10. Develop Intelligence Scholarship for Promising Programmers

Kelby Zorgdrager, the tech expert, established the Develop Intelligence (DI) grants a Scholarship for Promising Programmers every year to the software industry’s future generation of developers. The applicants have to be attending a full-time computer science course as a graduate or an undergraduate in an American University possessing programming skills and with a GPA of 3.4 or higher being maintained. Curriculum vitae, copy of the current transcript, letter of recommendation from Professor of computer science, and a 350-word essay about ‘how technology can resolve real-world problems’ should be attached with the application. The prize amount can be used towards the college tuition of the winner.
