2. Naugatuck Valley Medical Scholarship Fund (N.V.M. Scholarship)

The medical scholarship fund is provided for graduating high school seniors who plan to take up majors in the medical or biomedical field. The students belonging to the lower Naugatuck Valley area of Connecticut are preferred, and Ansonia, Derby, Seymour, Shelton, Oxford, and Beacon Falls come under the area. The applicants should be maintaining a G.P.A. of 3.5 and specifically an A.C.T. score of 26 in English, Maths, Science, and Reading or an S.A.T. score of 1200 or higher. To confirm the eligibility, they also have to take a medically-oriented or medical science-oriented course at an accredited institution of higher learning.

3. Nellie Martin Carmen Scholarship

The Foundation started funding the graduating seniors from public high schools in King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties in Washington State in early 1949. The student who has substantial financial need and is nominated by the school counselor is considered. The application should contain documents of the copy of the Student Aid Report, letters of recommendation from a person outside the school, other than the school counselor, to appraise the character, ability, and capacity for continuing development. The proof of U.S. citizenship should be produced along with a solo and recent picture of the applicant. Beyond all these, the candidate should be following the criteria of maintaining a 3.0 cumulative G.P.A., majoring in a subject other than music, sculpture, drawing, interior decorating, domestic science or art, upholding a high standard of conduct, proof of reasonable financial need, and attending a full-time college or university in the state of Washington.

4. LDEI CO Scholarships

The Les Dames d’Escoffier Colorado Chapter awards scholarships to students who express considerable performance scholastically and professionally and are being burdened due to financial crisis. The Franklin D. 8. The Vermont Pro Start Scholarship

The students who have previously been part of Vermont Pro Start or are presently enrolled are considered for the scholarship. They need to be enrolled in a postsecondary school majoring in food service, culinary arts, hospitality management, or a related field. The New York State Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NYSRAEF) awards scholarships to students committed to the restaurant/food service industry. 10. The National Protein and Food Distributors Association Scholarship 

The National Protein & Food Distributors Association’s Scholarship Foundation has been known for the help they have extended for more than 40 years to students for continuing their college education. An amount of $250,000 has been used for the purpose. The applicants have to be an employee or child of an employee of NPFDA Member Company. A total of five students are selected for the scholarship amount, which totals to about $20,000. The Foundation scholarship is made possible for students enrolled for a full-time course at a U.S.-based College or University or should be a high school senior.
