2. Lutheran Leadership Scholarship
Lutheran students who are deeply engaged in leadership positions in their regions, synods, or Lutheran high schools are eligible for the Lutheran Leadership Scholarship. By January 15th, the Lutheran Leader form and two recommendation letters must be completed. A number of Lutheran-affiliated scholarships are available at Valparaiso University. 3. ECLA Funds for Leaders Mission Developer / Redeveloper Scholarships
With almost 4 million subscribers in nearly 10,000 churches in the United States, Puerto Rico, and the United States Virgin Islands, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) is one of the biggest Protestant churches in the United States. 6. John-Elizabeth Blaho Miller Fund
The John-Elizabeth Blaho Miller Fund Scholarship is given to recipients from Hungary or of Hungarian ancestry who wish to study for the Lutheran ministry at a seminary. Monetary need and a filled application are also required. The Pittsburgh Foundation’s John-Elizabeth Blaho Miller Fund intends to just provide scholarship support to students pursuing a seminary degree in readiness for the Lutheran ministry, with a priority for students from Hungary of Hungarian ancestry. John C. Miller was born in Budapest in October 1910 and came to the United States with his parents (John Miller and Elizabeth Blaho Miller) in 1921, settling in Ambridge, Pennsylvania. For numerous years, John was the director of the Chateau Amusement Company’s five movie theatres. In 1955, he became a program manager at Buhl Planetarium, where he worked until 1977 when he retired at the age of 67. John created this fellowship in remembrance of his parents in December 2001.

10. Ruth K. Jacobs Memorial Scholarship
Full-time students studying for church music ministry can apply for the Ruth K. Jacobs Memorial Scholarship.
