2. Disputanta Volunteer Fire Department Joshua A. Culler Memorial Scholarship Endowment

The award is a memorial in order to honour Joshua A. Culler. Josh passed away at the early age of 35 due to Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia. He at the age of 15 had been part of the Disputanta Volunteer Fire Department, where he exhibited his dedication and love to serve and help. In order to remember him, as he preferred his children to get a proper college education, his family, after his death, associated with forming a scholarship initiative for those who wish to continue a career in the medical field or healthcare administration or are ready to be part of the firefighting service providers. The scholarship intends to support the students preferring to pursue their education in higher studies in the sectors of the medical field, healthcare administration, or involved in serving as a full-time or part-time firefighter or emergency services provider.

Consideration is given to those who are willingly volunteering with the Disputanta Volunteer Fire Department or any Prince George County Emergency Services Department. The individuals who are dependents of past or present volunteer of the Volunteer Fire Department or any Prince George County Emergency Services Department meeting the foundational needs as per the scholarship guidelines are also eligible to apply. Other criteria include; residing in Prince George County and working for John Randolph Foundation.

The amount of the scholarship is paid directly to the institution to cover the needs of tuition, fees, books purchased through the institution attended, and on-campus dormitory and meal plan expenses. The application should be submitted completed along with the required documents attached before the prescribed due date.

3. Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship Program

The scholarship is provided by The American Bar Foundation (ABF) and falls in the group of the world’s leading research institutes for the pragmatic and interdisciplinary involvement of law. They undertake research activities, helping them improve and get indulged in law and the issues faced by the legal system in the United States and around the world. It is done in collaboration with Chicago-area universities, including Northwestern University and the University of Chicago.
