2. Citation-In-Flight Scholarship by F.A.S.T

The organization of Female Aviators Sticking Together (F.A.S.T) offers a number of scholarships, particularly for women who want to get established in the aviation industry. The Citation-In-Flight Scholarship awards six CE500 or CE525 Initial or Recurrent Simulator Training to FAST members. To apply for this golden opportunity, you must be a U.S. Citizen, hold at least an FAA Commercial Multi-Engine Pilot License with Instrument Rating and have at least 1,500 hours of flight time (or reduced ATP minimums, if applicable) or already possess their ATP or R-ATP certificate.

3. Bill Cowden Memorial Aviation Scholarship

The Bill Cowden Memorial Scholarship is for pilots of all ages and is offered to promote advanced training in aviation. This scholarship will only be offered to those who hold a current Private Pilot Certificate and are in need of financial assistance to complete their advanced training in aviation.

5. Mommy’s Going Back-In-Flight Scholarship

Yet another scholarship by F.A.S.T that deserves mention. As the name suggests, for mommies who are pilots and are about to return to their professional career after pregnancy, the Mommy’s Going Back-In-Flight Scholarship is just for them. Remember that it is a member-only scholarship and will be awarded to the most deserving candidate who put a hold on her career to raise a family and has been longing to return back to her career.

The winning participant will win $1,000, which will be paid directly to an accredited flight training school of the recipients’ choice.

6. The Amelia Earhart Memorial Scholarships & Awards

The Amelia Earhart Memorial Scholarships are awarded annually to student pilots wanting to earn their first certificate. The amount awarded for these scholarships includes Research Scholar Grants and Fly Now/First Wings Awards and is open only to members of the 99 organization.

There are five separate Amelia Earhart Memorial Scholarships, and the awards can vary up to $20,000. You can choose between AE Flight Training Scholarship, AE Technical Training Scholarship, AE Vicki Cruse Memorial Scholarship, and AE Kitty Houghton Memorial Scholarship, each of these scholarships have a separate set of criterias. 7. Air Line Pilots Association Scholarship Program

A slightly different from other aviation scholarships on this list, the Air Line Pilots Association Scholarship Program is restricted to children of a medically retired, long-term disabled, or deceased pilot member of the Air Line Pilots Association. Every year, one 4-year college undergraduate is awarded $3,000, which is renewable up to $12,000 for 4 consecutive years, to financially support their undergraduate program in any discipline.

8. Whirly-Girls Krista Holstrom Memorial Flight Training Scholarship

The Whirly-Girls Scholarship Foundation offers the Krista Holstrom Memorial Flight Training Scholarship to female helicopter pilots who have at least a private pilot certificate/license. The last one on this list, the AAERO Scholarship Program, is designed especially for students who aspire to become pilots and have not yet received their PPL certificate. Multiple scholarships are awarded to the most deserving students who demonstrate their passion and ability to complete their PPL  certification within 12 months of applying for this scholarship program.

The scholarship award varies from $250 to $2,000, and every year, the online application begins on April 1st.
