6. American Legion Scholarship
Offspring or lawfully adopted children of federalized active-duty U.S. military, Guard, and Reserve troops who died on active service on or after September 11, 2001, are eligible. 7. AMVETS Scholarship
The AMVETS organization, which was founded in 1944 and was chartered by an act of Congress, now has over 250,000 members across the country. The Army Women’s Foundation (AWF) understands the value of education and the role it plays in achieving personal, professional, and financial goals.
