Best Scholarships for Dental Assisting

With tuition costs rising at an exponential rate every year, it’s no surprise that students pursuing dental assistant schools are looking for grants. The US Federal Reserve’s data paints a numerical picture of the economy: To cover their education costs, 43% of students who finished some education after high school took on debt. When you dig deeper into the data, it’s true that a number of students are reliant on loans: 94 percent of students make payments on student loans, and 20% of students have used credit cards to pay for their school, with the average amount of student loan debt being $32,731. Beyond personal finance, the rising percentage of young adults in debt has broader economic ramifications.

When you consider that the average dental assistant earns $38,660 per year and that 55 percent of people who have graduated from some colleges are between the ages of 18 and 29, young adults searching for work in growing fields like dental assisting are likely to be saddled with significant debt early in their adult lives. Considering that higher education prices are one of the top five expenditures that eat 50 percent of career earnings, according to Forbes Media, it’s easy to see why so many students are looking for grants to help them pay for their education.

A list of fifteen scholarships that help students studying degrees in dental assisting is provided below to assist students in their desire to lessen or remove the economic strain of education fees.
