The BWL scholarships are restricted to Black female students who are in their second and third year of the degree of Law. These scholarships are offered only to eligible female candidates who are currently enrolled in an accredited Law School and are intending to practice in the Southern California area. The BWL Scholarships are offered under three names, Honorable Justice Vaino Hassan Spencer Scholarship, The Dolores Randolph Bauer Memorial Scholarship, and Vera Brown-Curtis Hayes Memorial Scholarship, each of these scholarships has different criterias but are limited only to Law Students. 2. Bader Scott “Future Lawyers of America” Scholarship

An Undergraduate Law Scholarship offered by the organization of Bader Scott, the Future Lawyers of America Scholarship, can be obtained by current Law students who come from financially disadvantaged families and are determined to continue their education. The winning participants will be receiving an amount of $2,500 that can be used in meeting your educational expenses; however, to obtain this scholarship, you are required to fulfill a few criterias. Students who wish to apply must maintain a GPA of at least 3.0 or higher, demonstrate genuine financial needs, and provide enrollment in an accredited College or University. The Theodore M. The LGBT Public Interest Scholarship Program by American Bar Association is for recent Law students or Law Graduates who are studying for the Bar, students who belong to the community of LGBTQ or are working in the LGBTQ space doing public interest work, including working for Community Based Organizations and Non- Governmental Organizations, are eligible to apply for this scholarship. 5. Lloyd M. Johnson Jr. Scholarship

The LMJ Scholarship was established in the year 2004 with an aim to nurture the academic and professional careers of outstanding law students. This scholarship is restricted to women and diverse students who are currently enrolled or have been accepted to an ABA-accredited Law school on a full-time basis. Students willing to apply must have an outstanding or promising academic record, an interest in establishing their careers related to Corporate Law, and demonstrate a commitment towards community service. 6. AAJ Richard Hailey Law Student Scholarships

AAJ’s Richard D. Hailey Law Student Scholarship is for minority Law students entering into their first, second, or third year of Law School. The scholarship amount is $5000, and additionally, the winner receives a registration and travel stipend to attend the AAJ Annual Convention.

To obtain this scholarship, you must possess interest and proficiency in trial advocacy skills, have a keen interest in representing those who have been injured by the negligence or misconduct of others, demonstrate commitment to AAJ, and have genuine financial needs.
