Tufts University is a large private university in a large suburb offers 1 Pre-Medicine/pre-Medical Studies Degree program. The Tufts program is uniquely positioned to accommodate a variety of health-related career goals. Students work with a health professions advisor to develop an individualized program of study chosen from a wide range of course offerings. This flexibility allows our students to pursue careers in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, osteopathic medicine, optometry, podiatry, or as a physician assistant or nurse practitioner. Many students who consider themselves “pre-health” are hoping to enter graduate training in clinical professions such as nursing, dentistry, and veterinary and human medicine. University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth
UMass Dartmouth prepares undergraduate students for admission to medical and health-related professional programs through its Pre-medical/Pre-health Advising program. For students who have already received a bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university, they are eligible for admission to our Pre-Health Certificate program. The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry has a long tradition of sending students to professional schools in medical fields. This includes students who went on to obtain M.D. as well as D.O. degrees. The biochemistry option is excellent preparation for professional (pre-Medical, pre-Pharmacy, pre-Veterinary) schools offering M.D., D.O., D.V.M., and PharmD degrees. Students who are highly motivated to do medical research may also pursue an M.D.-Ph.D.

American International College of Arts and Sciences – Antigua’s (AICASA) pre-med program gives qualified high school graduates the opportunity to complete medical school prerequisites in less than two years. The 2-year Pre-medical Program is designed for students who have not yet received any undergraduate credits and/or High School grades in Physical or Biological Sciences. Students aspiring to careers in the health sciences will need to select a specific major appropriate for their intended graduate studies. Biology, Chemistry, and Biochemistry are common choices. Bard College at Simon’s Rock
The Simon’s Rock pre-medical studies program is great preparation for a career in medicine. The pre-medical concentration provides the essential natural and behavioral sciences. Their students have an enviable record of enrolling in their first or second choice medical school. The pre-medical studies concentration requires a minimum of 54 credits, including biology, chemistry, mathematics, natural sciences, physics, and psychology.
