Bowdoin was ranked third among liberal arts colleges in the United States. University of Maine—Farmington
The University of Maine at Farmington has been ranked among the top schools in the liberal arts colleges. It offers programs in teacher education, human services and arts and sciences as a part of the University of Maine System. College of the Atlantic
College of the Atlantic was the first college to be carbon neutral and one of the first to divest fossil fuel holdings from its endowment. It awards bachelors and masters (M.Phil.) degrees solely in the field of human ecology, an interdisciplinary approach to learning. Students have come from all 50 states and 34 foreign countries.
