Harvard College offers several residential research programs for students staying on campus. Harvard College offers several unique residential research programs, designed to promote positive and productive undergraduate research experiences. Stanford University (CA)

At Stanford University’s department, more than 30 of Stanford’s departments and programs sponsor undergraduate research programs that provide financial support for students to work with Stanford professors on faculty-designed research projects. California Institute of Technology (CA)

SURF students have had the opportunity to conduct research under the guidance of experienced mentors working at the frontier of their fields. Caltech’s Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships (SURF) program introduces students to research under the guidance of seasoned research mentors at Caltech and JPL. At the conclusion of the program, students submit a technical paper and give an oral presentation at one of several SURF Seminar Days, symposia modeled on a professional technical meeting. SURF students have had the opportunity to conduct research under the guidance of experienced mentors working at the frontier of their fields.

Princeton University (NJ)

The Office of Undergraduate Research runs two concurrent summer research programs for Princeton undergraduates. ReMatch+ is the culmination of the yearlong ReMatch program. It offers freshmen and sophomores an opportunity to carry out paid graduate-mentored research projects over the summer. Princeton offers paid research assistantship positions and research-focused fellowship opportunities for undergraduates. At the end of the summer, undergraduates in the ReMatch+ and on-campus OURSIP programs present their summer research to peers, FSI scholars and affiliated faculty at a mini-academic conference.

One advantage of attending the Johns Hopkins University is the opportunity to participate in research as an undergraduate.
