This novel starts as two stories, described in alternating segments; this novel is about a girl in Sudan in 2008 and a boy in Sudan in 1985. The girl, Nya, is fetching water two times a day from a pond, which is two hours’ walk from her home. The boy, Salva, is the “lost boy” of Sudan. Here is the interesting story of two oil tanks of England, named Pendleton and the Fort Mercer. In the winter of 1952, in the early hours of Monday, February 18, both the tanks start their journey as the weather wreaked havoc on the land. The weather in the Atlantic Ocean is stormy and freezing wind is blowing. Both tanks are made of dirty steel and found themselves in a horrifying plight. Coast guard cutters raced towards the Fort Mercer for aid and then came to know that Pendleton also split into two halves. Coast guard sends out two-thirty- six-foot wooden lifeboats, manned by only four seamen. They all know they were on a suicide mission. They tried their best to save their souls. After some time, a face appeared on the surface of the ocean. He was the lieutenant Louis. He was struggling to reach the bank of the ocean to save his life. Louis became a famous story of the World War.

This novel is about an 8-year-old boy, Bruno.
