The Bayard Jordon Memorial Scholarship is opened for the tennis lovers above 12 years who represent the spirit of Bayard Jordan, work hard, show good sportsmanship, and a goodwill ambassadorship. Princeton Tennis Program awards a scholarship to at least one recipient to appreciate their passion for tennis.
The Bayard Jordan Memorial Scholarship Program was started to honor and the memory of Bayard Jordan. He was a tennis player who inspired many students and players. After Bayard Jordan passed away in January 2006, the Bayard Jordan Memorial Scholarship Program was introduced to budding tennis students. This Scholarship Program was started to support and encourage budding tennis players. This scholarship helps students with their academic as well as athletic course fees.
Princeton Tennis Program has a proud heritage of offering group tennis lessons to aspiring players of all ages and backgrounds. Bayard Jordan was also known as “the man with the floppy hat.” He taught countless numbers of people how to play tennis. His spirit energized others. His sportsmanship was unwavering. He has been described as a caring, patient, generous, kind, insightful, humble, and inspirational tennis player.
