Barnes-Travis Arts Scholarships

All the students of grades 6–12 and attending a public, private, charter or home school in Moore County, NC, have an excellent opportunity. The Arts Council of Moore County is ready to support your education with their outstanding Barnes-Travis Arts Scholarship. Applicants must be a Moore County resident who demonstrated interest and talent in at least one arts discipline to be eligible. Students must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.

The Arts Council of Moore County has designed this worthy Scholarship program to help Moore County students with their expenses needs. This program has been designed to lower the burden of students’ expenses and encourage them to pamper their interest in arts through this program. The scholarship is initiated with the intention of expanding the art field through this program.

The Arts Council of Moore County or ACMC Was founded in 1973 is a nonprofit organization with the mission of inspiring and strengthening the community through the arts. The foundation consistently contributes towards the region’s standard of living by hosting world-class visual and performance artists with offerings reflective of the rich diversity, facilitating access to the arts for all people. The organization initiates various programs that can help society grow vigorously.

Supporting Documents 

  • One official copy of applicant’s most recent report card, at least one recommendation completed by someone who can evaluate your arts aptitude and potential, and an Art sample demonstrating the talent(s) is mandatory.
