Appalachian State University ACCESS Scholarship Program

Appalachian State University is ecstatic to announce the ACCESS Scholarship Program for the North Carolina students. The ACCESS scholarship program helps students with a low-income financial background to complete their higher education. This scholarship supports students with their university expenses and allows them to graduate debt-free. All the North Caroline citizen students who are freshmen at the Appalachian are welcome to apply for this program.

Who May Be Eligible?

To be eligible for the ACCESS program, the applicant must fulfill the following requirements:

  • The fellow must be a North Carolina, United States.
  • The applicant must be a first-time freshman student at Appalachian. The student must attend full-time 12 semester hours or more each semester.
  • Candidates’ parents or guardians adjusted gross income (AGI) cannot exceed 100% of the federal poverty guidelines set forth by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services each year.
  • Applicant’s EFC (Expected Family Contribution) must be zero after verification of FAFSA.

How to Apply

Candidates applied to Appalachian State University are directly considered for the ACCESS scholarship program. Applicants are requested to ask if they are selected for the scholarship program. Please complete the application form and submit it before the deadline to be considered for the program. All the details should be carefully provided during the admission.

Supporting Documents

Applicants have to attach the following documents with their application:

  • The fellow has to fill all the details asked in the scholarship application form.
  • An individual should submit their transcript with the application.
  • Candidate should submit their ACT or SAT scores with the application.
  • Applicants have to submit the FAFSA report with the application.

Benefits

Winners of the ACCESS scholarship program offer four-year University at Appalachian without student loans. The ACCESS program supplements federal financial aid grants, state grants, scholarships, and other forms of financial assistance with sufficient funds. These funds cover the cost of institutional charges tuition, fees, room, board, and health insurance. ACCESS students can have a work-study job to help with personal expenses.

Application Deadline

The application deadline for the Appalachian State University ACCESS Scholarship Program is November 1. Applicants should submit the application and other supporting materials such as transcript and test scores by November 15.
