Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Curatorial Fellowship

Who is Eligible?

The eligibility criteria for the following scholarship is as follows:

  • The candidate must hold a doctoral degree (or international equivalent) in art history or archaeology with a specialization related to one of the projects above. 
  • The candidate must have received the degree within five years of the fellowship’s start date (that is, September 1 of the year following the application deadline).

How to Apply?

To be considered for the scholarship, the interested candidates must submit the following:

  • A cover letter addressing your interest in the fellowship position
  • A statement not to exceed 1,000 words specifying your research areas and their relationship to the Museum’s collection and activities. Include relevant experiences related to your chosen curatorial project area.
  • A copy of a published paper or recent writing sample
