High school seniors who are good at academics and also participate in athletic competitions have an excellent opportunity to win the Allstate Sugar Bowl/LHSAA scholarship. The Louisiana High School Athletic Association and the Allstate Sugar Bowl offers many awards to help students with their educational expenses. College or university expenses are rising every day; this scholarship will take some financial burden off the students.
The Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) has started a sponsorship to help students with their college or university-related expenses. Allstate Sugar Bowl/LHSAA Scholarships helps students well with academics and sports to pursue their interested career.
The mission of the Allstate Sugar Bowl is to promote, sponsor, seek-out, conduct, schedule, finance, and operate yearly calendar of local, state, national, and international amateur and collegiate sports events in the Greater New Orleans Area and the State of Louisiana. The purpose of this mission is to promote tourism. The Sugar Bowl is the non-profit organization; they celebrated the 5th annual Sugar Bowl Classic on January 1, 2019.
Who May Be Eligible?
Take a look at the mandatory eligibility requirements before proceeding with the application:
- Applicants should be good at academics as well as athletes to be eligible for this scholarship.
- Candidate should have a cumulative GPA score of at least 3.5 or higher on the scale of 4.0.
- The applicant must have participated in the ACT or SAT exam and should have at least 24 or higher in the ACT.
How to Apply
Eligible candidates need to submit their information to the LHSAA which selects the winners. All the details should be adequately provided, and the proofs verifying the eligibility of the candidate should be submitted with caution. Late applications are not entertained.

- The student has to attach their cumulative GPA score and rank in class with the scholarship application.
- Applicants have to attach their ACT or SAT scores with the application.
- Candidate has to show ample evidence of their capability to succeed at the college level.
Benefits
The Allstate Sugar Bowl/LHSAA Scholarships are awarded for ten students. Students will be rewarded with a $1,500 scholarship fund. This scholarship fund should be used to pay the financial debts of the students like fees, tuition, books, or any other requirements for their career growth.
