Allen Tittle’s Medical Malpractice Awareness Scholarship

Tittle & Perlmuter is pleased to announce its “Allen Tittle’s Medical Malpractice Awareness Scholarship” for the current year 2020. The program is including U.S. students who are recent high school senior, college student or graduate student enrolled in a two- to a five-year post-secondary institution for the Spring 2021 semester.

The award’s purpose is to raise awareness of the growing issue in the world of healthcare and also to provide support to those who are affected by medical malpractice. The one incoming or continuing college scholar will get to attain valuable funds to cover their tuition costs.

Tittle & Perlmuter is a personal injury law firm in Cleveland, OH that focuses on medical malpractice and negligence, nursing home abuse and neglect, car accidents, serious personal injury, and wage and hour litigation. Their team can prosecute cases all across northern Ohio.

Who May Be Eligible?

Enthusiastic candidates are required to go through the eligibility rules before applying:

  • Open to every current high school senior, college student or graduate student
  • Must be legal residents of the United States residing in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia
  • Must be enrolled in a two- to a five-year post-secondary institution for the Spring semester 2021 semester.
  • Employees of Tittle & Perlmuter, their immediate families such as a parent, child, sibling, and spouse, and persons living in the same households of such individuals (whether related or not), are not eligible to participate in the program.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 3.0 GPA or higher and be in good overall academic standing.

How to Apply

To be eligible for the scholarship, students must email their complete application packet along with the essay, resume, and transcript to info@tittlelawfirm.com. The form should be sent with the subject line “Tittle & Perlmuter – Allen Tittle’s Medical Malpractice Scholarship Application.”

Supporting Documents

  • Must submit a 500- to 600-word essay on the given prompt: Why do you think it’s important to be a patient advocate in today’s healthcare industry? If applicable, describe a time in which you, or someone you know, received poor medical care and what that experience taught you.
  • Must submit a professional resume listing your experience, both professional and academic.
  • Must submit a transcript from their current school.
  • First-year college students, graduate students, or individuals who have recently transferred schools may submit an unofficial transcript from their current school, as well as the most recent official transcript from their prior school. High school students must also provide proof of acceptance to their college or university.

Allen Tittle’s Medical Malpractice Awareness Scholarship is a recurring scholarship worth $1,000, which is designed to help one incoming or continuing college student with their tuition costs. The beneficiary will get help to overcome their financial barriers.
