love your Rebellion is proud to announce that they are launching a 2021 GrittyButPretty Album Art Contest for individuals who have an interest in art. The interested individuals are required to submit concepts to have their artwork featured on the jacket and label for Gritty but Pretty, a 7″ punk compilation from Love Your Rebellion and Roach and Roll Records. Students are advised to go through the full guidelines and submit their artwork accordingly. Submissions will be accepted between Sept. 15th – Oct. 15th, 2021.
The one deserving winner with the best concept will receive a cash prize of $150 and have their submission featured as the cover of Love Your Rebellion’s 2021 compilation album, Gritty but Pretty. The winner will also receive one free album and recognition across all LYR social media platforms. The last date for the submission is October 15, 2021. Love Your Rebellion founder Angela Page has been fostering the arts through Love Your Rebellion since 2011. Page began by making do-it-yourself magazines, or zines, that featured art and creative writing from all over the world. LYR has helped Southwest Florida organizations that support people from marginalized groups raise over $2,000 via partnerships and collaborations, including Showing Up for Racial Justice SWFL, Planned Parenthood of Central and Southwest Florida, and the Coalition of Immokalee Workers.

Who is Eligible?
There are limitations given regards to eligibility, therefore everyone is allowed to enter the following contest.
How to Apply?
The interested individuals are required to submit their artworks following the given instructions:
- Be sure to include the title, Gritty but Pretty, in your art.
- Images provided must be in a CMYK or Grayscale color mode.
- Images provided must be 300dpi in resolution.
- File types accepted include .tif, .indt, .indd, .inx, .idml, .eps, .psd.
- Your file should be 14.75″ x 7.5″.
- Include 1/8 inch bleed.
- Art will be used for the front cover of the jacket and the label in the center of the 7″ vinyl.
- Email submissions to loveyourrebellion@gmail.com. Include name, phone number, social media profile/website, and a short bio.
Benefits
The concepts submitted by you will be reviewed and judged by the selection committee and out of all, the most deserving candidate will be selected as the winner of the following scholarship.
