The Alabama student grant program is a state student scholarship program for the students who are legal residents of Alabama, US. The following scholarship is being sponsored by the legislature of the state of Alabama.
The program was first established on August 4, 1978, for the undergraduates nonsectarian, securing education at independent, nonprofit, or other legislatively identified post-secondary educational institutions of higher learning situated within the state of America. All the other information concerning the scholarship is explained in detail later in the article.
Alabama is a state in the southeastern region of the United States. It has boundaries with Tennessee to the north, Georgia to the east, Florida and the Gulf of Mexico to the south, and Mississippi to the west. Alabama is known as the 30th biggest state by the total area and the 24th most populous state of the US.

Who is Eligible?
Following are the eligibility requirements that need to be satisfied for participating in the following scholarship contest:
- The applicant must be a United States citizen.
- The applicant must be a high school graduate
- The applicant must be classified as an undergraduate student.
- The applicant must be an Alabama resident as defined in Alabama Student Grant Program Act 90.
- The applicant must be enrolled as a full-time or half-time student in an eligible program in an approved institution.
- The applicant must be making satisfactory academic progress.
- The applicant must not be enrolled or intend to enrol in the course of study related to theology, divinity, or other preparation fields for a religious vocation.
How to Apply?
To apply for this scholarship, interested candidates must fill out the application form and attach all the required documents along with it. The completed application form must be submitted to the financial aid office of the institution.
