Each year, Air Force Aid Society gives a minimum of 10 Merit Scholarships to worthy students. These scholarships are available to dependent children and spouses. These children or spouses must be dependent on active duty and retired Airmen. These students must demonstrate outstanding academic potential based on GPA.
The Air Force Aid Society provides Education Support for Airmen and their children. For this reason, they have started the AFAS Merit Scholarship. These scholarships help pay for college. Scholarships take the financial burden off the students. These scholarships help the students be the best in their academics by not wondering about needs and focusing on their academics.
The Air Force Aid Society (AFAS) was established even before the U. S. Air Force itself. It was first started in 1942. And at the same time, the Air Force Aid Society (AFAS) established scholarships. The Air Force Aid Society (AFAS) helps with college books and tuition with the AFAS Supplement Education Loan. General Henry “Hap” Arnold started this organization with a vision of the ideal Airmen helping Airmen.
