To make available monetary support for women with financial needs, Alabama Golf Association has launched an amazing scholarship program. Through this scholarship, the financial aid will be provided to female candidates who are a graduate of an accredited secondary school where they have shown evidence of academic excellence, good citizenship, sportsmanship, and community involvement. 2022 AGA Women’s Scholarship intends to fund the undergraduate level education of deserving female students who are facing significant financial challenges in their learning journey. Aspirants with an interest in the game of golf and who are bona fide residents of the state of Alabama will be given preference for this program.
It is imperative for women to gain quality education and the resources they need to change the course of their and their family’s life. It is possible only when education and opportunities are easily accessible for all regardless of race, gender, and background. There are many significant challenges that a woman has to go through when it comes to earning a college education. These challenges can be identified as a lack of money, support, and opportunities. Some female students have to compromise with their educational dreams while others have to give up on them because of the lack of money. To better the situation of female learners, Alabama Golf Association has initiated this program that is all set to support the women this year.
Alabama Golf Association is a non-profit organization that works toward educational purposes. It began in 1915 to serve and promote amateur golf in Alabama. It is a member-led organization whose membership consists of 115 member clubs represented by over 22,000 individuals. A Board of Directors compromising of Alabama golfers governs the activities of this organization.

Who is Eligible?
Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible:
- Be a graduate of an accredited secondary school where she has shown evidence of academic excellence, good citizenship, sportsmanship and community involvement
- Be in need of financial assistance to pursue an undergraduate education at a college or university
- Have an interest in the game of golf
- Be a bona fide resident of the state of Alabama
How to Apply?
To start the application process, candidates will have to go to the online portal of Alabama Golf Association where they will be presented with an online application form. This form should be filled with right and complete information and sent to the organization on or before the deadline.
