AFLAC Foundation Undergraduate $1,000 Scholarships

In collaboration with UNCF, AFLAC Foundation has designed a fantastic funding program that needy students can avail themselves to fund their higher education. This collaboration has made possible up to eight great scholarships for students who are unprivileged financially. To take advantage of this golden opportunity, you need to be classified as an entering freshman, sophomore, junior or senior and enrolled full-time at any four-year college or university at the time of application. Holding a minimum cumulative weighted grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale will give you an advantage over others. The candidates will be selected based on their unmet financial needs as verified by their college or university.

The primary mission of the AFLAC Foundation behind launching this program is to make it as easier as possible for students to earn a college degree. This foundation knows the value of a college degree in the life of the student and also aware of the financial challenges that come along with pursuing higher education. That is the reason why it has brought this scholarship program. The value of this scholarship is $1000, and this amount can be applied to cover the expenses associated with education, such as tuition, books, transportation, and accommodation, etc. A college degree is very important for every student, and there should not be any financial barriers on their way of acquiring it. To ensure this, AFLAC Foundation, with the generous support of UNCF, has created this scheme that will support the learning journey and growth of students.

UNCF that is also called United Negro College Fund, is an American philanthropic organization that provides funds to scholarships for Black students and general scholarship funds for 37 private historically Black colleges and universities. AFLAC is a well-known American company and enjoys being the largest provider of supplemental insurance in the United States.
