The Afghan-American Community Organization is announcing it’s third annual Afghan-American Scholarship Program for the year 2020. The awards are applicable for Afghan-American who are enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited college or university.
The aim of organizing the grants is to assist the students who are passionate to achieve a successful career, but financial crises are hitting in their ways. The provided funds will be solving the economical issue which the recipients are facing and help them to fulfill their dreams.
Afghan-American Community Organization recognizes the groundwork Afghan-Americans have been doing to establish a thriving community in the Northern California region The Conference aims to address community issues, promote civic engagement, and foster professional networking.
Who May Eligible?
To eligible for the Afghan-American Scholarship Program, the candidates must be following the eligibility criteria:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent U.S. Resident
- Must identify as a member of the Afghan-American community
- Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited college or university for the Fall 2020 semester
- Must demonstrate financial need
- For multi-semester scholarships, the beneficiary must maintain a 3.0 GPA for the semester of award disbursement.
- The second disbursement will be made upon verification of GPA.
How to Apply
Students are asked to provide their application along with the required documents through an online scholarship form. The applicants filling the form thoroughly will only be considered for the program.
Benefits
The Ishaq family has graciously committed to funding scholarships and this program includes an award amount of up to $5,000 for undergraduate students and up to $15,000 for graduate students. Multiple scholarships will be awarded to deserving scholars.
