ACES Education Fund Scholarships

The American Copy Editors Society Education is assisting students with enormous funds provided by their various scholarship programs conducted for the current year. The applicants who are enrolled as college/university junior, seniors, or graduate students will be able to enjoy the awards and overcome their barriers.

The program is a way to improve the quality of communication and set standards of merit and offer a voice to editors in journalism, government, business, and beyond through top-notch training, networking, and career opportunities. The recipients will get to receive attend ACES national conference.

The (ACES) American Copy Editors Society Education Fund is a nonprofit organization. It was founded in 1999. The foundation was begun in 1997 by Pam Robinson of Long Island, N.Y. as a group to foster help and awareness of copy editors, primarily in newspapers.

Who May Be Eligible?

Candidates looking forward to applying for the program must take a glance over the below criteria:

  • All the participants must be seeking degrees as enrolled college/university juniors, seniors, or graduate students during the summer and fall in the year 2020.
  • The amount will be awarded without regard to the Student’s major or field of academic concentration.
  • Previous scholarship winners are not eligible.

How to Apply

Eligible candidates are asked to apply for the scholarship online through an electronic application form. Applications are made by email. All entry materials must be in English. The students must provide their complete documentation to get considered.

Supporting Documents

  • Students need to provide their resume, with evidence of academic achievement and exemplary work in editing.
  • References: Submit the names and titles or job descriptions of a total of three instructors.
  • Read the following condition and write about what you would do if you were the rookie copy editor, in 500 or fewer words.
  • The publisher at a normal-size news outlet (print and online) orders that a lengthy report on the economy of a small far-off nation can be posted as soon as possible at length.

Benefits

The successful winner will get to receive an award amount of $3,500 plus financial aid to attend the ACES national conference. The beneficiaries will get full support to cope up with their high-cost educational expenses to accomplish their quality studies. Additionally, the ACES Aubespin scholarship winner will get $2,500 and four other winners will receive $1,500 each.
