Who is Eligible?
To be eligible, the candidate must satisfy the following conditions:
- Be a resident of any of the following counties for at least two years prior to applying: Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Guadalupe, Kendall, Medina, and Wilson.
- Be enrolled in, or unconditionally accepted to, a program leading to graduate degree.
- Must have a GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 grade scale.
- The applicant must demonstrate community service.
- The applicant must be registered for a minimum of six semester hours or be registered for dissertation hours.
- The candidate must have received no more than one previous AAUW graduate scholarship for current graduate program.

- Write a two-page double-spaced Times New Roman 12-font essay detailing your academic accomplishments, community service, financial need, and plans for the future.
