AAUW Penobscot Valley believes in promoting the education and freedom of women and this is the reason why it has brought funding schemes for non-tradition female students. There are three scholarships available for undergraduate non-traditional female students studying at local educational institutions, at AAUW.
Each scholarship is worth $500 and will help female students stay motivated and dedicated to their educational dreams. Those days have gone by when women had to struggle in gaining education, finding opportunities in the job market, and especially making their own way in a world that was considered male-dominated. Today’s women are strong and showing their talent in every area from technology to art. They are as much contributing and making achievements as their counterparts. And this scholarship is little support from AAUW Penobscot Valley for those talented women who have the potential to lead the world and break all the stereotypes about women.
