The Kavli Foundation is now providing an opportunity to apply in AAAS Kavli Science Journalism Awards. This is an international free contest open to journalists for distinguished reporting on the sciences, engineering, and mathematics and individuals over the age of eighteen (18) years.
Two awards will be given in each of the Categories, a Gold award worth $5,000 (for the winner) and a Silver award worth $3,500 (for the runner-up). In addition to main prize winner will also get reasonable travel and hotel expenses to attend the awards ceremony in February 2019 in Washington, D.C.

Who May Eligible:
The scholarship applicant must demonstrate the following: There is two type of eligibility listed below
- Individual Eligibility: individuals must over the age of eighteen (18) years as of August 1, 2018.
- Eligible Publications: must be journalists doing work for independent news organizations around the globe.
How to Apply & Competitions Rules:

Rules:
- A story or series of stories may be entered in one category only.
- Entries must have been originally published, broadcast or posted online during the contest year.
- Print articles must be readily accessible to the public by subscription or newsstand sales.
- If the submitted work was published or broadcast in a language other than English, you must provide an English translation.
- You cannot enter the same story or stories in two different categories.
- Entrants may submit up to THREE entries in all
- Print Entries: for the print entry you must submit a PDF (up to 10MB in size) of the published story, showing that it appeared in print.
- Audio Entries: you must submit a link to an MP3 file of the broadcast.
- Video Entries: for video entry, you must submit a link to the television or standalone online. video. The file must be hosted either on Video, Dropbox or YouTube. Do not provide any. other links that will require an automatic download.
Benefits:
