Grab a chance to apply for the fantastic Career & Technical Scholarship sponsored by the Horatio Alger Association. The program’s applications are open for students who have completed high school and have a keen interest to pursue the technical program.
The grant will help students to overcome the financial obstacles occurring in their lives for attaining quality technical education. The scholars may use the amount to pay for tuition, books and other educational expenses.
The Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans was founded 1947 working as a non-profit organization and is located in Alexander, Virginia. It also describes themselves as the largest provider of need-based scholarships in the United States.
Who May Eligible?
The program is intended towards students including the below requirements:
- Must have completed high school or earned a high school equivalency credential
- Must be enrolled in an eligible program in Fall 2020
- Must have a keen commitment to pursue and complete a career or technical program (up to 2 years) at an accredited non-profit post-secondary institution in the United States
- Must demonstrate critical financial need (must be eligible to receive the Federal Pell grant as determined by completion of the FAFSA)
- Must demonstrate perseverance in overcoming adversity
- Must be under the age of 30
- Must be a United States citizen

All candidates are required to provide their details through an online application form to be qualified for the scholarship program.
Benefits
The Horatio Alger Association is awarding 1020 scholarships at up to $2,500 each. The scholarship fund can b used to cover tuition, fees, books and other educational related expenses.
