2019 Vernier Engineering Contest

Vernier Software & Technology is proud to offer 2019 Vernier Engineering Contest. The Contest provides a grand opportunity for educators to showcase how they are created with Vernier technology to set up engineering concepts to students. 

Vernier Software & Technology is committed to helping educators develop the next generation of engineers and scientists.

Who May Eligible:

To eligible, the candidates must be following all the eligibility criteria:

  • Current instructors of engineering, science, or STEM subjects in middle school, high school, or college are eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must be using Vernier sensors in their classroom instruction. Applicants may not have won previously at their school.

How to Apply & Competition Rules

The applicants must submit an application form with submission through the given link: https://www.vernier.com/forms/engineering_contest/

Rules:

Instructors at eligible institutions may submit up to three entries.

  • To be eligible, your institution must be properly accredited, located in the United States (or a DoDEA school), and have 50 or more students.
  • Preschools, daycare centers, and home schools are not eligible.
  • The application must be submitted by an employee at the institution who is 18 years of age or older. Technology awarded to the institution will be shipped only to the institution’s address and will become the property of the institution.

Benefits:

  • The award will consist of $1,000 in cash, $3,000 in Vernier technology, and $1,500 toward expenses to attend either the NSTA STEM conference or the ASEE conference.
  • One award will be given to a middle school, high school, or college instructor.

Application Deadline:

The deadline to submit applications are accepted through February 15, 2019.
