$2000 Scholarships for Texas Athletic, Music, and Academic Participants

For the fourth sequential year, H-E-B will grant 15 secondary school seniors who took part in UIL contests with a $2,000 grant in acknowledgment of their community administration and contribution to their networks. Five understudies who contended in sports, five understudies who contended in music, and five additional understudies who contended in scholastic occasions will be chosen from the pool of candidates from across the state. The application deadline is Friday, January 28th, 2022. Beneficiaries will be declared Spring 2022 at the UIL Texas Boys Basketball State Championships.

H-E-B will grant each chosen understudy a $2,000 grant toward their school/college of decision. To qualify, you should be a current Texas secondary school senior graduating in 2022 with a base 3.3 GPA, have participated in a UIL contest as a secondary school understudy, and have been dynamic in community administration projects or occasions. Who is Eligible?

The eligibility criteria for the following scholarship are as follows:

  • You must be a current Texas high school senior graduating in 2022 with a minimum 3.3 GPA,
  • Have participated in a UIL competition as a high school student and have been active in community service programs or events.

How to Apply?

All deserving candidates can apply for this scholarship by sending a short essay (500 words or less) on the topic: “What does Community mean to you?” Applicants must complete the online application form and submit all support documents at the same time.

Following are the documents that need to be attached with your application form:

  • Current GPA
  • Number of Community Service Hours in the last 12 months
  • Community Service Verification Letters to document the number of hours submitted
  • A Letter of Recommendation

The organization will award 15 high school seniors who participated in UIL competitions with a $2,000 scholarship to recognize their community service and involvement in their communities.
