Law school debt has become new normal, but the thing that has not been paid attention to is the financial need of law students to prepare for the bar exam. The cost of the prep courses is increasing with each passing day. A good prep course might cost thousands of dollars. Nowadays, students have to take out loans to cover the expenses related to their course, while some of them have to do part-time jobs to support their studies. But doing the job or taking a loan is not really helpful as it poses more financial burden on students, and they end up graduating with debt. Sarita and Claire Wright Lucas Foundation is very well aware of this condition of today’s law students, and that is why they have taken this initiative in the form of this scholarship. For these future prosecutors, the scholarship program covers the cost of the bar application and preparation up to $5,000.

Foundation’s mission is to support young women of color who are willing to serve the public and pursue careers injustice as Prosecutors. This nonprofit firm has been promoting Women and minorities in the criminal justice system.
