Mary Rohrscheib Teaching Scholarships for College and University Students

To be a potential candidate of this program, you must be graduating from or a graduate of a high school and majoring in or planning to major in education.

Josh Rohrscheib has presented these schemes in the loving memory of his grandmother, who was a devoted third and fourth-grade teacher. The motive of these financial aid programs is to celebrate great teachers in Central Illinois and to encourage and support the next generation of teachers. For these programs, Josh Rohrscheib selects up to two candidates each year. These scholarships will provide the fund to all deserving students to earn higher studies in education at their chosen college or university. These offers will assist worthy students in achieving their dream of becoming a teacher and giving their aspiration new wings by reducing the cost of their college. If you desire to be a teacher in future and are working toward fulfilling your dream, then you can get some financial help through these scholarships.

Josh Rohrscheib is working as the partner at Bolen Robinson & Ellis LLP. He is a personal injury lawyer and practising in the firm’s Bloomington and Decatur offices. He has been dedicated to helping and representing people who have been injured due to others’ negligence in their fight for justice. He has received many awards and honours so far, and before joining BRE Law, he served as an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of a global law firm.

Who May Be Eligible

To book your spot in this program, you need to be fit in the following requirements:

  • Applicants must be graduating from or a graduate of a high school in Macon, Dewitt, Logan, or McLean County.’
  • Candidates should be majoring in or planning to major in education;
  • Aspirants must have a minimum GPA of 3.4/4.0 GPA (4.25/5.0 GPA), and;
  • Recipients of the program must be enrolled in or accepted into an academic program at a two-year or four-year college or university.

Supporting Documents

Please upload these documents to your application form:

  • A resume,
  • A recent transcript to confirm GPA,
  • A 750-1,000 word essay describing the impact of a special teacher and the lessons the student will carry forward throughout their career in education. By submitting an essay, applicants agree to allow the use of their essay in celebrating the Mary Rohrscheib Teaching Scholarship or in recognizing the contributions of special teacher featured in the essay.

Benefits

There are two awards each of $1,000 available for deserving candidates who meet the requirements and send all the required documents, including the application form, to Josh Rohrscheib by the application deadline. This award can be applied to the cost of education of worthy candidates. It can help them meet their study-related expenses, not limited to books and supplies, tuition, transportation and accommodation etc.
