MALDEF’s Law School Scholarship Program is available to all law understudies presently selected full-time at a certified United States graduate school. Below is the list of the documents that need to be attached with your application form:
- Current Resume.
- Personal Statement up to 500 words, double-spaced, must be submitted. Please include your short and long-term professional aspirations following law school.
- Career Plans Statement up to 100 words. Please concisely indicate your plans to serve the Latino community in your legal career.
- One (1) Letter of Recommendation.
- Transcripts for law school and college must be submitted. Unofficial transcripts are also accepted.

The MALDEF Scholarship grants the most eligible students the educational funds they require and deserve to acquire advanced and quality education. The number of awards and the award amounts vary every year depending on funds’ availability and the number of eligible entries received. The candidates must use the awarded funds towards their education strictly.
