Jones Family Foundation has announced an excellent scholarship named The Maasai Haile Jones Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship program is organized for those students who are high school seniors and permanent residents of San Jose, CA. Eligible students should be African American college freshmen. For this scholarship program, three winners will be selected for the following prizes: Grand Prize – $10,000; First runner-up – $5,000; Second runner-up-$2,500. Applications will be accepted until February 1, 2022. The organization will declare the winner on or around March 15, 2022. The sponsor will schedule an interview after selecting the semi-finalists and will notify the selected candidates about the same by February 28, 2022.
To apply for this program, you will have to fill out an online application form with complete and genuine information including your name and contact information, background details of the student, academic details. Additionally, you will have to write a short original, previously unpublished written story about social justice which must be an original piece of your writing. Inspiration for the story can come from anywhere, including your imagination, historical or current events or personal experience. This written response must be written in English with correct spelling and grammar.
Maasai Haile Jones Memorial Scholarship was established to ensure the higher education of San Jose students whose financial condition is not good. So far, this program has helped many learners to overcome the challenges that they encounter during their learning journey, and achieve the educational dreams and goals that they set for themselves.

Who is Eligible?
To apply for the scholarship program, students must be matched with the following eligibility criteria:
- Maasai Haile Jones Memorial Scholarship contest is open for US citizens.
- Applicants should be African American student who is High School Senior or College Freshman.
- Students must be residents of San Jose, CA, at the time of Application.
- The Current employees, officers, directors and agents of Sponsor and its related companies and members of their immediate families (defined as spouse, siblings and children) and persons residing at the same address are not eligible to win.
