It is with significant privilege that the Atlantic District (AAHA) of USA Hockey has consented to an arrangement of two high school grants for the sake of Lou Manzione. Lou was a vital part of their District. Not only was Lou the Vice President of the District for Rules and Regulations for quite some time, yet additionally was President of the New Jersey Youth Hockey League for more than ten years. Notwithstanding his jobs inside the Atlantic District and the New Jersey Youth Hockey League, Lou had a functioning instructing profession at the secondary school and travel levels. The grants are not non-renewable. In May 1972, twenty representatives from youth hockey clubs in New Jersey and Pennsylvania met in Princeton, New Jersey. They set up a district under the name of the Amateur Hockey Association of the United States (AHAUS). AHAUS authoritatively contracted the Mid-Atlantic Amateur Hockey Association as District IV in June 1972. The District later became known as the Atlantic Amateur Hockey Association (AAHA).
