For nearly three decades now, Jeffrey Lichtman has devoted himself to providing legal services to people in his community and beyond. He believes that there are still many individuals out there who can sacrifice their good for others happiness and not only hope but work for making a better tomorrow. therefore, to encourage and celebrate or recognize such a group of individuals, the law firm is offering this scholarship to support them in their purpose and help them in achieving their dreams.
The sole purpose of this scholarship is to honor and appreciate the efforts of one student who has made any contribution towards making betterment in their community in any way. As for eligibility, Applicants who must be enrolled in a junior college, community college, undergraduate program, or graduate program in the United States are eligible to enter this program. High School graduates or GED holders attending college or university next semester are also eligible to apply. Applicants applying for this scholarship must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. The one lucky and most deserving candidate who meets the above-mentioned eligibility criteria will be given scholarship money amounting to $1,000 which can be used further towards their education. The applications for the positive impact scholarship will close on November 30, 2021.

To apply for this scholarship, the candidates must write down a 750-word essay stating any community service activity the candidate initiated that impacted themselves and the people in the community. Please provide a detailed description of what led you to this particular community service activity, what societal issue or problem this activity sought to address, and how successful the activity was in addressing this issue. If it was not a successful activity, please propose insights into another way you could go about fixing your community’s issue.
