The Kaminski Brown Family is inviting candidates to apply for their wonderful Kaminski-Brown Family Scholarship. The applicant must be planning to attend Elyria Catholic High School for four years. Candidates must demonstrate financial need via a completed FACTS application. Fellows should be highly passionate about dreams and should be hard working.

The Kaminski-Brown Family Scholarship was started in 2020 by Dylan (Class of ’13) and Savanna Brown (Class of ’15) to support families in need in the community. This fund was created to honor their mother, Christine Brown (Class of 81′)who worked endlessly to provide them with quality education and countless opportunities despite difficult circumstances. It also honors their aunts, uncles, and grandparents – Rob, Mark, Matt, Denice, Kathy, Robert, and Carolyn Kaminski all graduates of Elyria Catholic, whose continual support has driven them to work hard, find success, and give back. The entire family hopes that the recipient will cherish the opportunities that a quality education brings and use it to make a difference in their community.

Elyria Catholic High School is a private co-ed Catholic High School located in Elyria, Ohio. It is affiliated with the Diocese of Cleveland. The school has an excellent record of creating students who have exceptional qualities and skills. The school is highly motivated to contribute deserving individuals to society and be the source of the country’s development with a valuable academic curriculum. Scholarships are provided to the students so that financial instability should not be the barrier between their education.

How to Apply

Only the eligible students should download the application. Candidates should complete submit or begin their enrollment process and should provide all the needed information according to the application. All the details about the candidate and their achievements should be mentioned in the application. Late submissions will not be entertained. Candidates should return completed application by the deadline to the Elyria Catholic High School Philanthropy & Engagement Office.

Supporting Documents

  • Applicants should submit the FACTS application.
  • Fellows must provide an essay (250-500 words) in response to the prompt, “Why are you interested in attending Elyria Catholic High School, and what do you hope to gain from your time there?”

Benefits

One recipient will receive $1000 applied directly to their tuition bill. The scholarship is renewable for three years as long as the student maintains a GPA of 2.5 or greater and remains in good conduct standing. Recipients will be notified if they have been selected for the scholarship before the January school application deadline. This scholarship motivates the students to do better in their academic careers.

Application and other materials should be submitted before November 15, 2020. Please make sure you follow the deadline as late applications will be rejected.
