The Phi Alpha Theta has announced their scholarship program for students entering graduate school for the first time in fall 2022 and under post-graduates in History or Library Science-Archives. Students who are verified Phi Alpha Theta are only welcomed for this scholarship. They offer the A.F. Zimmerman Scholarship, Thomas S. Morgan Memorial Scholarship, and William E. Parrish Scholarship. Students applying for any scholarships will be considered for all these three scholarships. These programs will provide an opportunity to students who are looking for it.
Students will be selected for awards for all three scholarships based on application and other factors. The A.F. Zimmerman Scholarship, Thomas S. Morgan Memorial Scholarship, and William E. Parrish Scholarship are $1,250, $1,000, and $1,000. The award amount will be used for the student’s educational purposes, such as managing their education-related expenses, including tuition assistance, books, other materials, and other related. This will help motivate them to pursue their education less financially.
The Phi Alpha Theta: A National Honor Society was established on March 17, 1921. Their purpose behind establishing this society is to Encourage research, good teaching, publication, and the exchange of learning and ideas among historians to enhance the study of history. We aim to bring students and instructors together for intellectual and social interactions and encourage and help our members’ historical study and publication in a variety of ways.

Who Is Eligible?
- be entering graduate school for the first time in fall 2022
- be pursuing a Master’s degree in History or Library Science-Archives.
- Be a verified member of Phi Alpha Theta.
- Students currently enrolled in a graduate program are not eligible to apply.
How to Apply?
Eligible applicants should fill out the application form with all the required details. With the application form, they must attach official transcripts, i.e., one official copy of each undergraduate and graduate institution where work was credited toward a degree, curriculum vitae, or resume (six copies), GRE scores, and a letter of recommendation from each of the three individuals listed here. This will assist and motivate them to continue their studies without worrying about money. The program will encourage students to pursue their education and achieve their educational and career goals.
