The CalvertHealth is introducing its Allied Health Scholarship Program and E. Anne Spitzer, MD Memorial Scholarship Program. The program is inviting students engaged in Healthcare degree from a Calvert County High School.
The Foundation designs the grants to financially assist students in defraying the higher cost of education. The recipients of the program will get adequate funds to accomplish their goals and dreams without any hurdles.
The CalvertHealth Foundation is a non-profit organization with a board of residents who volunteer their time and talents to further the mission of the medical centre. It has raised more than $8 million to help purchase the latest medical technology.
Who May Eligible?
The candidates must meet up with the below eligibility criteria to qualify:
Allied Health Scholarship Program
- Must be a student who is currently accepted at an accredited school of nursing or other healthcare curriculum offering a course of study leading to licensure as a Practical or Registered Nurse or other health-related classification.
- Preference will be given to residents of Calvert County and Anne Arundel County; second preference will be given to residents of St. Mary’s and Charles County
Anne Spitzer, MD Memorial Scholarship Program
- Must be students who graduated from a Calvert County High School and are pursuing a doctorate in medicine.
- Must be admitted to an accredited medical school at the time of application with a minimum GPA of 2.5.
How to Apply
The eligible applicants must download a pdf application form and mail at CalvertHealth Foundation Scholarship Committee PO Box 2127 Prince Frederick, MD 20678.
The Foundation has rewarded over 425 scholarships totalling more than $540,000 to area students pursuing higher education in medicine and allied health fields. The recipients will get financial assistance to complete their education.
The application deadline to submit your documents is May 31.
