The British International Education Association is pleased to offer the 2019 BIEA International Stem Youth Competition for students who are under the age of 18. The STEM Competition provides an exciting focus to challenge their ideas, innovations, and learning.” Students win several awards and a cash prize of £5,000.
BIEA aim is to bring together educators and young people from around the world, who share a passion for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). BIEA is helping to build a platform for knowledge exchange between the UK and other national education services

Who May Eligible:
To eligible, the candidates must be following all the eligibility criteria:
- BIEA requires that all students must be in teams of between 3 and 5 individuals.
- Each school must be registered by a responsible adult (e.g. teacher).
- Schools may enter more than one team per age category: Junior 9-11 years old, junior-high 12-14 years old and high school 15-17 years old.

Rules:
Each application must include:
- Competitors will use the Internet to research, design and write a report about a drone that can help conserve an endangered animal species.
- Sing a budget from BIEA, competitors will buy, modify and fly small drones as proof of concept for their design.
- Teams are required to video flying according to requirements provided by BIEA.
- Competitors will video a presentation about their drone design.
Benefits:
- The team with the highest overall score will receive the £5,000 grand-prize.
- Each age category winner will receive a drone, a medal, certificate, and trophy.
- Runners-up will also receive a drone, a medal, and a certificate.
